JANET RUTH EDDY

          Janet Ruth Eddy, 83, of Daybrook, died Monday, September 29, 2025 at her residence.

          She was born December 10, 1941 at Wadestown, a daughter of the late Stanley Mason and Edna Gump Mason.

          Mrs. Eddy was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Daybrook Church of Christ.

          Surviving are two sons, Jacob Eddy and his wife Teresa of Blacksville and Stanley Eddy and his wife Donna of Reedsville; three daughters, Mary Tennant and her husband Gary of Daybrook, Rose Kennedy and her husband Bob of Bula, and Bonnie Simms and her husband Sam of Daybrook; one brother, John Mason of Fairview; one sister, Janie Goodman of New Bethlehem, PA; thirteen grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Eddy, who died on April 12, 2025; one brother, Jerry Mason; and three sisters, Joann Barr, Violet Mason, and Judy Mason.

          Friends and family may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2025.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2025 with Jason Tennant officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brewer Cemetery.
