Jean Earnshaw Garner, 84, of Burton, WV died Sunday, March 23, 2008 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born November 28, 1923 at Earnshaw, a daughter of the late William H. Earnshaw and Bess Parrish Earnshaw.

Jean was a housewife and homemaker. She served in the United States Navy as a Pharmacist's Mate Third Class and she was a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 of Hundred.

Surviving are her husband, Charles W. Garner; two sisters, Elsie Stanley of Earnshaw and Mary McLean of Steubenville, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Carrico of San Jose, CA and Virginia Earnshaw of Annapolis, MD; three nieces, Bonnie McLean of Berlin, MD, Sharon Campbell of San Jose, CA, and Sandra Rowell of Elkridge, MD; three nephews, George Earnshaw of Davidsonville, MD, David McLean of Toronto, Ohio, and William McLean of Steubenville, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Edgar Earnshaw.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday. Interment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton.
