JEANNETTE ROBEY

            Jeannette Robey, 95, of Wana, WV died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in the Evergreen Assisted Living Center in Morgantown.

            She was born August 31, 1923 at Miracle Run, a daughter of the late Beecher Steel and Clara V. Barth Steel.

            Jeanette was a retired registered nurse. 

            She was a member of the Golden Glow Rebekah Lodge #299 of Wadestown, the Crusader Lodge #422 of Wadestown, Wadestown Women’s Club, Blacksville Senior Center, and the West Virginia 4-H All Stars.

            Mrs. Robey was a member of the West Warren Baptist Church of Wadestown.

            Surviving are two daughters, Karen Miller and her husband John of Wadestown and Janet Sanders of Wana; one sister, Eileen Maher of Cape Coral Florida; and two grandsons, Brandon Sanders and Adam Miller and his wife Sonya.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Robey; one son, Gary Kerr; one brother, Chester Ralph Shriver; and one sister, Wilma Shriver.

            Jeannette’s family would like to thank the staff of Evergreen Assisted Living for their love and care over the past few years.

            Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-8 PM Saturday.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 PM Sunday with Rev. Rose Saunders officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.

            In lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution to Pam Shriver, c/o Huntington National Bank, Blacksville, WV   26521.  The money from these donations will be used to purchase a swing for the residents of the Evergreen Assisted Living Center in Morgantown.
