John E. Fluharty, 65, of Fairview, WV died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at his residence.
He was born March 25, 1946 on Plum Run, a son of the late Millard Fluharty and Goldie Moore Fluharty.
John was a former employee of both Fairview Bit Company and Daybrook Developement Company. He was a member of the Daybrook Methodist Church.
He enjoyed wood working. He was a man who loved the outdoors and farming.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Yost Fluharty; one daughter, Beverly Wolfe of Idamay; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Beth Fluharty of Rivesville; nine siblings and their spouses, Jack and Evelyn Fluharty of Plum Run, Nancy Gump of Shinnston, Tom Fluharty and ex-wife Loretta of Plum Run, Jerry and Sue Fluharty of Fairview, Danny and Carolyn Fluharty of Plum Run, Mary Gump of Mannington, Phyllis and Lester Hart of Mannington, Aneda and Steve Britvec of Jakes Run, and Janet and Tim Sanders of Plum Run; and three grandchildren, Jackson Cole Fluharty, Alexis Faith Fluharty, and Marissa Marie Wolfe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two great-nephews, Phillip John Fluharty and Adam Daft; and two brothers-in-law, Junior Gump and Ronald Gump; and twin nephews who died as infants.
Friends may call at the Daybrook Methodist Church, Daybrook, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the church at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the New Fluharty Cemetery on Plum Run.
