John F. Taylor, 88, of Hundred, WVdied Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at his residence.
He was born May 7, 1912 at Hundred, WV a son of the late Helena Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a carpenter and retired with over 35 years of membership in the Carpenters Local #1339 in Morgantown.In his early life he worked for the Civil Conservation Corp.He was a 41 year member of the Littleton AF & AM Lodge #131 of Hundred and a member of the Hundred United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Gable Taylor;three sons, Neil Taylor of Irwin, PA,Jerry Taylor and Russell Taylor both of Hundred;a daughter Mabel Ann Wasson of Fort Pierce, Florida;two sisters, Margaret York of Sterling, VA and Edith Taylor of California;eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday, February 22, 2001.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Friday, February 23, 2001 with the Rev. Richard Ogden officiating.Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery in Burton.Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by the Littleton AF & AM Lodge #131.
