JOSEPH BLAINE TENNANT, JR.

          Joseph Blaine Tennant, Jr, 47, of Daybrook, died Saturday, November 30, 2019 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown with his mom and brother by his side.

          He was born July 5, 1972 at Fairmont, WV, a son of Terrie Lee Berry Tennant of Daybrook and the late Joseph Blaine Tennant.

          Joe worked as a welder for the past seventeen years at Loveridge Mine.  He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family.  He was a strong and caring person.  He enjoyed kayaking, hunting, fishing, and cutting firewood.

          Recently Joe found a love for taking machines apart and repairing them.  He said it calmed him and made him feel happy.

          In addition to his mother he is survived by two sons, Derrick Tennant and Eric Tennant, both of Daybrook; one daughter, Darrian Tennant of Morgantown; one brother who was his best friend, Robert Tennant and Helen of Daybrook; maternal grandmother, Gail Berry of Daybrook; step-grandmother, Nellie Tennant of Bula; and his special friend and uncle, Donnie Berry.

          In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bob Berry; and his paternal grandparents, Harlin Tennant and Helen Tennant.

          Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 1-2:00 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2019.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Freddie Eddy officiating.
