Joseph R. Littell, 78, of Wileyville, WV died Friday, November 12, 2010 at his residence.
He was born November 17, 1931 at Knob Fork, WV, a son of the late Charles R. Littell and Nellie O. White Littell.
Joe was retired from J & R Littell, Inc, which was a sawmill operation near Hundred. He formerly worked as a truck driver and worked as a pipeliner and on construction.
He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 of Hundred. Joe was also a member of the Littleton Lodge #131 AF & AM.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Eileen Broughman Littell; one son & daughter-in-law, Joseph R. Littell Jr. and Amy of Friendly, WV; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Butch Anderson of Friendly; six grandchildren, Bethany Littell, Garrett Littell, Luke Drennen, Mahala Stanaland, David Hamilton, and Daniel Hamilton; and five great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were two brothers, Rex Littell and Samuel E. Littell.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-8 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with Pastor Dale Hostuttler officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Knob Fork.
