Joye Faye Varner, 70, of Days Run Road, Fairview, WV died Monday, November 12, 2012 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born July 6, 1942 at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Willis Burl Walls and Ola Jane Statler Walls.
Mrs. Varner worked as a secretary for various companies, including Forquer Contracting. She was a member of the Olive United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Martin Ellis Varner; two sons and their spouses, Douglas Varner and wife Vickie of Fairview and Rodney Varner and wife Sheila of Core; one daughter and her spouse, Terri Livengood and husband Terry of Fairview; one brother, Loye Walls of Core; three sisters, Joyce Ketchem of Waynesburg, PA, Janet Bane of Nags Head, NC and Christina Jean King of Blacksville; and seven grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
