Kenneth G. Delaney, 72, of Waynesburg, PA died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in the South West Regional Medical Center in Waynesburg, PA.

He was born December 16, 1934 at Laurel Point, WV, a son of Aretis V. Shanks Delaney Heflin of Core and the late Edward E. Delaney.

Kenny worked at various jobs during his lifetime. He worked as a repairman for pinball and vending machines, worked at a tire shop, and a truck driver were among his various jobs.

He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the VFW Post #4793 of Waynesburg, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his step-father, Ted Heflin of Core; one son, Edward Delaney of Wana; one grandson, Nicholas Delaney of Wana; three sisters and spouses, Eleanor and Kenny Deavers of Granville, Carolyn Ammons of Daybrook, and Charlene Eveland of Columbia, MD.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Rev. Dr. Donald Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Zoar Cemetery.
