KENNETH L. GODFREY, JR.
Kenneth L. Godfrey, Jr, 69, of Blacksville, died Friday, June 5, 2026 in the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown.
He was born May 4, 1957 at Rochester, PA, a son of Edith Mae Jefferies Godfrey and the late Kenneth L. Godfrey.
Ken worked at many jobs during his life time, nursing home aide, telemarketer, and an Evangelist. He also served 8 years in the United States Air Force. He was Pentecostal by faith.
Surviving is his wife, Veronica Lemley Godfrey; one son, Stephen Godfrey; two daughters, Theresa Hartness and Christina Smith; two sisters, Kathryn Stutler and Gail Jameson; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His step-children David Spears and his wife Crystal, Chris Spears and his wife Liberty, and Holly Simpson and her husband Doug; ten step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Ken is also survived by three air force buddies, Jay Rudd, III, Jim Stebleton, and J. D. Anderson.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Frazier; one step-grandchild, Chelsea Ann Simpson; and one brother, Randall Godfrey.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 PM service on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress
