Lawrence W. Price, 63, of Burton, WV died Monday, September 19, 2005 at his residence.
He was born May 7, 1942 at Crossroads near Wadestown, WV a son of the late Russell A. Price and Orpha Cross Price Tennant.
Mr. Price retired from the United States Army with 22 years of service. After retiring from the military he operated a catering business for 16 years in Covington, GA. He was a member of the Bula Baptist Church at Bula, WV and a 1960 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Dale Conaway Price, whom he married on June 19, 2004; his children, Mike Fain of Georgia, Peg Norris, of LA, Joe Price of Georgia, and Karlene Brown of Seattle, Washington; a step-son, Craig Costell of Blacksville and a step-daughter, Trisha Costell of Burton; two sisters, Mildred Taylor of Burton and Shirley Mace of Riverton, Wyoming; two brothers, Russell J. Price of Burton and Joseph S. Tennant of Wadestown; two step-sisters, Martha Jane Gallagher of Fairview and Doris Simpson of Wana, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Fain; a brother, George W. Price; a step-brother, Hershal Lee Tennant; and two step-sisters, Louise Hibbs and Aldene Johnson.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Samuel K. Hibbs, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
