Lawrence Wesley Roach, 75, of Waynesburg, PA died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his residence.
He was born October 12, 1939 at Spraggs, PA, a son of the late Lawrence J. Roach and Pearl Evelyn Phillips Roach.
Mr. Roach was a retired truck driver. He worked for Hoy Redi Mix Concrete Company in Waynesburg for more than 30 years.
Wesley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waynesburg. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Spitznogle Roach; two sons, James Roach and John Roach, both of Waynesburg; two daughters, Sharon Kirby of Waynesburg and Theresa Novotny and her husband George of Bobtown; one brother, Richard Roach and his wife Brenda of Waynesburg; two sisters, Rev. Leona Bonnell and her husband Kenneth of Lorain, OH and Rev. Betty Roach of Erie, PA; nine grandchildren, Rebecca Davis and husband Michael of Carmichaels, Jessica Yost and husband Matthew of Spraggs, Kimberly Kirby and Sarah Kirby, both of Waynesburg, Danielle Yeager and husband Brian of Waynesburg, and James Wesley Roach, Maranda Roach, L. J. Roach, and Brittany Hannah, all of Waynesburg; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Roach was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Roach.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 2-8 PM Tuesday. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Fairview-Kiger Cemetery near Spraggs, PA with Rev. Harry McElroy officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview-Kiger Cemetery.
