Lenard Nelson Wilson, 80, of Jakes Run, died Monday, January 23, 2017 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born November 15, 1936 in Fairmont, a son of the late Ralph B. Wilson and Mary Ellen Tennant Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a retired coal miner who last worked as a hoist operator.He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Marie Anderson Wilson; one son, Michael Wilson of Jakes Run; one daughter, Audrey Park of Pentress; one sister, Norma Panrell of Jakes Run; three grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, Samantha Seaman, and Chelsey Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Waylon Seaman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard E. Wilson.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating at the Olive Cemetery, Pentress.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
