LISA SOLLARS
Lisa Dawn Sollars, 46, of Daybrook, WV passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 30, 1972, a daughter of John “J.D.” Ammons and the late Sara “Sally” Bartrug Ammons.
Lisa was a 1990 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School and a 1994 graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in elementary education. She was a member of the Hundred Church of Christ. She was an influential teacher at Mason-Dixon Elementary School from where she reluctantly retired secondary to health issues after 25 years of teaching. She was a devoted mother, loving wife, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, niece, cousin, sister-in-law, valued friend, and adored teacher. She was a true Cee-Bee. She supported her daughter and son in all their athletic endeavors---basketball, softball, football, and baseball. Lisa was an inspiration to all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her cherished family.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Joseph Sollars; daughter Joleigh Sollars and son Noah Sollars at home; father, John Ammons; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Sollars; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Richard and Jenny Ammons, David and Jess Ammons, Rojack and Lisa Raber Ammons, Bobby and Karen Sollars, Kenneth and Stacy Sollars, and Jimmy and Julie Sollars; grandmother, Norma Ammons; aunts and uncles, Dan and Janet Ammons, Jack and Robin Ammons, Jim and Linda Walker, Penny and Kevin Cross, Tim Wilson, Dick and Lana Bartrug, Sam and Marty Bartrug, Ralph and Sue Bartrug, Debra Cork, Ron and Rhonda Askew, Kaye Bartrug, Susie Snodgrass; cherished nieces and nephews, Tristan Barkley, Abbey Ammons, Nate Kowalski, Kaitlyn Ammons, Chase Ammons, Alivia Ammons, Matthew Sollars, Justin Sollars, and Aiden Sollars; and numerous treasured cousins, friends and colleagues.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sara “Sally” Bartrug Ammons whom embraced her at heaven’s gate, maternal grandparents, Dick and Lucille Bartrug and paternal grandfather, Murle Ammons; nephew Tyler Ammons; mother-in-law, Gwendolyn Sollars; and close friend Jami Leigh Posie.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Craig and all the nurses and staff for their support and care. The love and prayers from their community, neighbors, and friends were and will continue to be appreciated.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that contributions may be made in Lisa’s memory to the American Cancer Society and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 3-9 PM Sunday, May 26, 2019. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.

Lisa was a kind, smart, beautiful person from the moment I met her in kindergarten until her last day on this earth. She will be missed by many. My condolences to her family.
