Louise Poling, 87, of Core, WV died Friday, August 7, 2015 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
She was born April 23, 1928 at Mooresville, a daughter of the late George Statler and Mary Moore Statler.
Mrs. Poling was a homemaker.
Surviving are four sons, Gary Poling of Morgantown, Donald Poling of Core, Lester Poling of Morgantown, and Larry Poling of Pennsylvania; one daughter, Sherry Cox of Morgantown; one sister, Lucille Johnson of Morgantown; one brother, John R. Statler of Wadestown; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Wilbert Statler, David Statler, James Statler, Charlie Statler, Jessie Statler, and Herbert Statler; four sisters, Myrtie Main, Dottie Hovatter, Rosalie Walls, and Dessie McCord; her husband, Chester Poling; and one daughter, Nancy Poling.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 PM Sunday with Pastor Jerry Teter officiating. Interment will follow in the Lawnwood Cemetery in Morgantown.
