Lula Gail Britvec, 82, of Statler Run Road, Fairview, WV went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 4, 2009 at her home, after a very long struggle with diabetes.
She was born May 29, 1927 in Monongalia County, the daughter of the late Raymond Eddy and Nancy Della Tennant Eddy, and loving step-father, Ray Hixenbaugh.
Mrs. Britvec was a member of the Olive United Methodist Church. A very loving person to all who knew her. She was a very loving wife and mother.
She was employed at Seneca Glass Factory many years ago.
Surviving are a son and spouse, Steve and Aneda Britvec of Fairview; two daughters and spouses, Mary and Jim Raley of Morgantown and Barbara and Gary Brookover of Daybrook; one son-in-law, Jack Marko of Westover; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a very loving aunt, Ida Louise Day of Blacksville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Britvec of 61 years, who died on August 20, 2008, and a daughter, Linda Marko.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
