Lydia Frances Wilkinson, 68, of Carmichaels, PA and formerly of Miracle Run, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born October 16, 1940 at Miracle Run, a daughter of the late James C. Tuttle and Irene Bane Tuttle.
She treasured spending time with her family and friends. She was a constant source of strength and generousity in the lives of many.
Lydia was the beloved wife of Allen Wilkinson, Jr. having been married for 48 years. The couple was married on January 14, 1961. She was the devoted mother of one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Jeanna Wilkinson of Crescent, PA; the proud mamaw of her grandchildren, C. J. Kearney, Amanda Wilkinson, and expecting a third grandchild in November. Also surviving are a brother, James A. Tuttle of Miracle Run, a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Jewel Tuttle of Blacksville, and two sisters, Mona Joy Copeland of Pentress and Rita Mae Brummage of Core.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son who died at birth, two brothers, Jack Tuttle and John Tuttle, and one sister, Virginia Rose Husk.
Friends and family will be received at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Rev. Michael Blaine officiating. Interment will follow in the Park Cemetery on Miracle Run.
