Mabel Gertrude Russell Wilson, 83, of Sundale Nursing Home, formerly of Wadestown, WV passed away, Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born February 7, 1923 in Wana, WV, a daughter of the late Eargle Dewey and Beatrice Marie Harker Russell.

Surviving are two sons and spouses, Jack and Sue Wilson and Larry Wilson, all of Wadestown; one daughter and spouse, Sharon and Terry Lemley of Core; one sister, Bonnie Hostutler of Hundred; six beloved grandchildren, Stephanie and Heath Owens of Pentress, Kristi and Jason Evans of Chambersburg, PA, Steve Michael of Morgantown, Rob Wilson of Wadestown, Bethany Wilson of Lexington Park, MD, and Clint Wilson of Morgantown. She has five great-grandchildren who were the light of her life, Tyler, Emily and Zachary Owens of Pentress, and Levi and Alexis Michael of Mooresville; and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her sixth great-grandchild, Baby Evans. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Doris Jean Wilson of Montana Mines.

Mabel was emloyed by Bell's Market in Blacksville for more than twenty years. She was a very special person and was loved by all who knew her. She graduated from Clay-Battelle High School in the Class of 1942.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville H. (Bud) Wilson on September 26, 1976; an infant son, Gary Lynn Wilson, and an infant daughter.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Rose Saunders and Pastor Jack Snoderly officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery, Wadestown, WV.
