Mabel L. White, 95, of Waynesburg, PA died Thursday, February 9, 2006 in the Beverly Health Care Center in Waynesburg, PA.

Mrs White was born December 30, 1910 near Brave, PA in Monongalia County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Owens Cummins.

She was a retired employee of Greene County Memorial Hospital where she worked for over 25 years in the laboratory. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and a member of the Golden Glow Rebekah Lodge of Wadestown for 75 years. She was also a member of the Clay-Battelle Senior Center and participated in the Rhythameers Band for 12 years, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are one daughter Mary Lou Leckey (widow of Howard Leckey) of Mars, PA; two sons, Marion L. White of Waynesburg, PA and David C and his wife Regina of Morgantown. Five grandchildren, Howard Leckey II and his wife Jane of Houston, Texas, Marsha White Byers and husband Steve of Chicago, ILL, Candace Leckey McPheron and husband Douglas of Mars, PA, Penny Leckey Haldane and husband Less of Ankara, Turkey, Kim White Farmer and husband Rev. Richard of Fairmont; eight great-grandchildren, Heather McPheron, Tara McPheron, John McPheron, Jennifer Byers, Lisa Byers, Lacey Haldane, Kelly Haldane and Joshua Farmer; one brother and spouse, Donald and Correll Cummins of Melbourne, Fl.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion L. White; one sister, Sara Lou Moore; and eight brothers, Arthur, Robert, Glen, Patrick, Victor, Herbert, Hubert and Rex Cummins.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Rev. Richard A. Farmer and Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Chip Leckey, Josh Farmer, John McPheron, Douglas McPheron, Steve Byers, Richard Cummins, Junior Moore, and James P. Cummins.
