Marie M. Longwell, 93, of Silver Hill Community, New Martinsville, WV died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in the Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville.
She was born October 31, 1913 at Littleton, WV, a daughter of the late Lindsay Postlewait and Rosie Villers Postlewait.
Marie was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Metz, WV.
Surviving are two sons, Earnest Longwell and Ronald Longwell, both of Farmington; two daughters, Wilda Hostutler of Hundred and Lenna Sue Jobes of Glenns, VA; one brother, Leonard Postlewait of Fairmont and one sister, Madeline Robinson of Littleton; thirty-two grandchilren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Longwell who died on June 3, 1989; two daughters, Brenda Cumberledge and Helen Irene Longwell; two sons, Donnie Lee Longwell and Howard Lee Longwell; three brothers, Thomas Postlewait, Ralph Postlewait, and Armand Postlewait; and three sisters, Virchie Booth, Irene Byard, and Mary Postlewait.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Saturday with the Pastor Stan Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in the East View Cemetery near Hundred.
