Martha "Pee-Wee" Varner, 65, of Core, WV died Sunday, March 23, 2008.

She was born February 20, 1943 in Pentress, WV, a daughter of the late Russell Walls and Isabelle Ammons Walls.

Pee-Wee was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the former Blacksville Tops Club. She was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School and was an avid CB fan. She loved to follow all of the CB sports teams. Nascar was something that she dearly loved. There wasn't a greater WVU fan than Pee-Wee, she loved to watch her West Virginia teams play all types of sports. She was a member of the New Life Harvest Center in Pentress.

Surviving are one brother & sister-in-law, Bob & Diana Walls, with whom she made her home; two sisters & brother-in-law, Linda & Charles Moore of Core and Brenda Eddy of Blacksville; two brother-in-laws, Ellis and wife Joy Varner of Days Run and Lloyd Varner; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior F. Varner, who died on April 9, 1995.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 Wednesday with the Pastors Hap and LeeAnne Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or to the New Life Harvest Center, PO Box 12, Pentress, WV 26544.
