Mary D. Tennant, 81, of Daybrook, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at her residence.
She was born August 30, 1936 at Daybrook, a daughter of the late William Luther McCoy and Florence Foley McCoy.
Ms. Tennant was a homemaker and a lady who had cared for others in their homes.She was a protestant by faith.
Surviving are two sons and their spouses, Jesse & Betty Tennant and Lindsay & Patricia Tennant, all of Daybrook; one daughter, Georgia Butcher of Daybrook; three brothers, George McCoy, Thomas McCoy and Nimrod McCoy; two sisters, Lucy Varner and Edna Carpenter; one daughter-in-law, Virginia Tennant; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse T. Tennant; one son, William Tennant; four grandchildren; a son-in-law, Dave Butcher; three sisters, Anna Pearl McCoy, Florence McCoy, and Nancy McCoy; and three brothers, Dennis McCoy, Henry McCoy, and Sebastin McCoy.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-9 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2017.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 28, 2017 with Rev. Freddie Eddy officiating.Interment will follow in the Tennant Cemetery at Daybrook.
