Mary R. Wise, 88, of White Creek Community, Hundred, WV died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at her residence.
She was born September 15, 1919 at Wadestown, WV a daughter of the late Martin Hennen and Matilda Renner Hennen.
Mrs. Wise was a homemaker and a housewife. She formerly worked at Bells Market in Blacksville for over 40 years. She was a member of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church.
Mary was the last surviving member of her family.
Mary was a 1937 graduate of Wadestown High School.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Nancy and David Liming, who were her care givers. She is also survived by her pet cat "Grojean", whom she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Wise who died on June 6, 2002; two sisters, Flossie Hennen and Mildred Hixenbaugh; and five brothers, Harley Hennen, Floyd Hennen, Edwin Hennen, Ray Hennen, and Donley Hennen.
The family would like to thank TLC Hospice of Morgantown for the care and compassion shown to Mary during her illness.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery near Hundred.
