Meryle Ester Gump, 73, of Hundred, WV died Monday, July 13, 2009 in Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV.
She was born March 7, 1936 at Littleton, WV a daughter of the late Isaiah Gump and Nona Fordyce Gump.
Meryle was a homemaker. She had been a resident of the New Martinsville Health Care Center since 1994 as a result of a head injury sustained in a home invasion.
Surviving are two brothers, Burl Gump of Hundred and Frederick Gump of New Freeport,PA; one sister, Norma June Stevens of Mannington; and a half-sister, Margaret Miller of Littleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Faye Gump, Jean Gump, James Gump, Lenore Mae Gump, Homer Gump, Walter Gump, George Gump, Virginia Hibbs, Sandra Kay Johnson, and a half-sister, Nellie McLaughlin.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Ned, PA.
