Michael Junior Bartrug, 78, of Burgettstown, PA died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in the Heritage Place (Nursing Home) in Weirton, WV.
Junior was born July 21, 1930 at Burton, WV, a son of the late Michael S. Bartrug and Essie Hixenbaugh Bartrug.
He was a retired mechanic from Weirton Steel. He was a member of the Tucker United Methodist Church in Paris, PA.
Surviving are his wife, Edis Grace Garrison Bartrug; one son, Michael J. Bartrug of Weirton; one sister, Maxine Straight of Norwalk, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Roger Gene Bartrug, and one sister, Ileene Taylor.
At the request of the deceased his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Tucker United Methodist Church, 641 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA with the Rev. Ken Jacobs officiating. The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV (304-775-2555) is in charge of arrangements.
