Mona Conaway, 89, of Wana, WV went in glory, to the presence of God, on Friday, January 19, 2007 in the Wishing Well Health Care Center in Fairmont.

She was born July 25, 1917 in Center Township, PA, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Evans and Elizabeth Hunnell Evans.

Mona was a homemaker, a member of the Clay-Battelle Area Senior Citizens, a member of the Wadestown Womens Club, and a member of the Truth Assembly Chapel of Wadestown.

Her hobbies were going to church and attending functions at the Clay-Battelle Senior Citizens.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was loved by all who knew her.

Surviving are two sons & one daughter-in-law, Richard Conaway and David and his wife Valerie Conaway, all of Wadestown; one daughter, Mary Dale Price of Burton; one son-in-law, Steve Mills of Louisville, KY; one sister, Hilma Moore of Waynesburg, PA; thirteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Conaway, who died on May 8, 1995 and whom she married on August 19, 1939; two daughters who both died very recently, Alberta Mills who died on December 1, 2006 and Rita Moore who died on January 10, 2007; four brothers, William Edwin Evans, Delbert Lindsey Evans, James Albert Evans, and Thomas Floyd Evans; and a granddaughter, Suzanne Mills Schumacher.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 Noon Monday with the Pastor Tim Brower officiating. Interment will follow in the Phillips Cemetery, near Spraggs, PA.
