Neil W. Snider, 74, of Hundred, WV died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born June 17, 1937 at Hundred, a son of the late Lloyd E. Snider and Mary M. Farrell Snider.

Mr. Snider was a retired cable splicer from Alltel Corp. He faithfully worked for the company for 27 years.

Neil was the past president and was a lifetime member of the Hundred Sportsman Club and was an honorary member of the Hundred FFA Chapter. He served on the board of the Wetzel County Committee on Aging.

He was a member of the Hundred Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Belch Snider; two daughters and their spouses, Debbie Varner and her husband Delmas of Hundred and Lisa Brooks and her husband Jay of Fairmont; two brothers and their spouses, Ralph Snider of McDonald, PA and Gary Lee Snider and his wife Patsy of Paden City; his mother-in-law, Lillian Belch, of Hundred; four grandchildren, Jennifer Talkington, Jordann Brooks, Christopher Varner, and Cole Brooks; two step-grandchildren, Jim Varner and Wendy Kelly; three step-great-grandchildren, Dustin Varner, Felisha Marshall, and Tyra Kelly; and his faithful companion who went everywhere with him "Lady".

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:30 PM Sunday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton.
