NILA MAE WISE

          Nila Mae Wise, 89, of Brave, PA died Sunday, March 23, 2025 in the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV.

          She was born December 4, 1935 at Freeville, NY, a daughter of the late Clair R. Ellks and Violet Cain Ellks.

          Nila worked for Waynesburg College for 26 years as a bookkeeper and she also worked for Bell Phone Company.

          She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Wana, WV.

          Surviving are two daughters, Vicki Lou Wise Smith and her husband of Front Royal, VA and Heidi Jo Wise and her companion Justin Gamble of Brave, PA; one brother, Robert Bruce Ellks of Manteca, CA; one sister, Laura Lou Buran of San Antonio, TX; and her grand fur babies that will miss her.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ira Wise and one brother, Edward Ellks.

          The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete at this time.
