Norbert Ronk, Jr. 77, of Statler Run Road died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 23, 1934 at Kokomo, Indiana, a son of the late Norbert B. Ronk and Mazie Catherine Butler Ronk.

Norb was a retired coal miner having worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation and he was a member of the United Mine Workers of America District #31 in Fairmont.

He was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy.

Surviving are his wife, Joann Graves Ronk; two sons, Norbert Ronk III of Lewisville, TX, and Todd and his wife, Vernita Ronk of Carrollton, VA; one daughter, Tammy and her husband Steve Self of Statler Run Road; and one sister, Evelyn Wilbur of Northville, Michigan.

Mr. Ronk was preceded in death by a grandson, Stevie Self; and is survived by three grandchildren, Kassi and her husband Josh Holdren of Granville, Joshua Ronk of Richmond, VA, and Brooke Ronk of Lewisville, TX.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Ronk and John Ronk; and one very special sister, Mary Lou Koenig.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastors Hap and LeeAnne Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
