Opal I Donaldson Stewart, 80, of Carmichaels, PA died Friday, February 18, 2005 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, PA.
She was born February 22, 1924 at Fairview, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Donaldson and Mildred Nicholson Donaldson Brown.
Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker. At one time she worked at caring for the elderly in their homes.
Surviving are two sons, Earl Richard Stewart of Monroeville, PA and Bobby Stewart of Carmichaels, PA; three daughters, Patty Lee of Delmont, PA, Shirley Smouse of Waynesburg, PA and Clara B. Bryan of Irwin, PA; two brothers, Jack Donaldson of Carmichaels, PA and Earl Donaldson of Waynesburg, PA; one sister, Helen Jean Saplina of Rivesville, WV; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren complete the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Stewart; two sons, Roger Stewart and John Ray Stewart; and one grandson, John Allen Stewart.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV from 5-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Rev Samuel K. Hibbs, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Park Cemetery at Miracle Run.
