Patricia Sue Cowell Clovis, 61, of Crossroads, was called to be with her Lord after a 2 year battle with cancer in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born July 21, 1953 at Waynesburg, PA, a daughter of Mildred Sturm Cowell of Blacksville and the late Albert (Bo) Cowell.

Pat was a retired secretary for the Monongalia County Board of Education. She had previously worked for many years at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Yaya Sisters. Pat was a 1972 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School.

Mrs. Clovis attended the Bula Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband of 44 years, Timothy S. Clovis, to whom she married on February 5, 1971; two sons and their spouses, Jeremy Clovis and his wife Wendy and Joshua Clovis and his wife Chastity, both of Wana; two daughters and their spouses, Chelsa Kolb and her husband Ben of Mannington and Hillary Clovis and her wife Kristin Kuchera of Morgantown; Sandy White who Pat considered to be a sister of Morgantown; six grandchildren, Adia Ryleigh Kolb, Gable Valen Kolb, Khya Symfany Kolb, Bo Steele Clovis, Burke Valen Clovis, and Cooper Bear Clovis; a brother-in-law and his fiance’, Rodney Clovis and Willie Elliott of Wana; a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Clovis, of Wana; niece and nephews, Clint Clovis, Chris Clovis and his wife Alberta, and Robin Clovis and her fiance’ Chris Wade; and three great-nieces and nephews, Abigale Clovis, Jessica Clovis, and Zachary Clovis.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 2-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with Pastor Drew Reveal and Pastor Jason Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
