Paul M. Gribble, 74, of Wadestown, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born May 10, 1937 at Morgantown, a son of the late John A. Gribble and Irene G. Church Gribble.

Mr. Gribble was retired from the Monongalia County Board of Education where he worked as an electrician.

He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police and was the former Chief of the Wadestown Volunteer Fire Department.

Paul was a member of the West Warren Baptist Church of Wadestown.

Surviving are a step-son, Gary D. Tennant of Wadestown; one brother, James L. Gribble of Yuma, Arizona; two granddaughters, Misty Tennant and Heather Tennant; five great-grandchildren, Sean, Madison, Antonio, Phoenix, and Journie; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie R. Gribble, who died on January 12, 2012; five brothers, Charles W. "Bill" Gribble, Albert E. Gribble, Bernard H. Gribble, Loren B. Gribble, and Jackie Gribble, who died as an infant; and one sister, Sarah F. Spencer.

Mr. Gribble has chosen cremation as his method of disposition. A memorial service will be held in the near future. The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
