Paul "P-Rab" Raber, 86, formerly of Pentress, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in the Betty Weber Personal Care Home in Maidsville.
He was born February 4, 1920 at Blacksville, a son of the late William Raber and Lydia Shultz Raber.
Paul formerly worked as an electrician at the Amoco Chemicals Corp. in Delaware. He was a lifetime member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge #461. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed sports.
He served in the Army Air Force During World War II and attained the rank of Sergeant.
Surviving are a sister & brother-in-law, Mary and Carlton McKinney of Reedsville, WV; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Danny Tennant of Core; a step-son & daughter-in-law, Arliss and Susan Rockwell of Blacksville; six step-grandchildren, eleven step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-granddaughter; several nephews and one niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lea Raber who died in 2002; one step-daughter, Charlotte Lea Miller; and four brothers, Kenneth Raber, Donald Raber, Carl Raber, and Charles Raber.
At the request of the deceased, his body will be cremated.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Olive Cemetery at Pentress with the Rev. Chester Tennant officiating.
