Paul W. Kerr, 89, of Ned Ridge Road, New Freeport, PA died Saturday, April 19, 2008 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, PA.
He was born May 1, 1918 at New Freeport, PA, a son of the late Thomas W. Kerr and Sarah E. Barger Kerr.
Mr. Kerr was retired after 25 years of service at the Parma Chevrolet Plant in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the Sand Hill Church of Christ and was a United States Army Veteran having served in Panama in World War II. He was a member of the VFW in Waynesburg, PA and was president of the Littleton Senior Center. He loved to collect Mustang cars and also was a coin collector. He was a graduate of Wheeling High School.
Surviving are one brother, Jack Kerr of Huntsville, AL; and one sister, Ruth Keffer of Hookstown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn Kerr, John Kerr, James Kerr, and Edison Kerr; one half-brother, Grant Stiles; one sister, Mary Bishop; and one half-sister, Pearl Knicely.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Ned, PA.
