Ray H. Eddy, 80, of Crossroads Community, Wadestown, WV died Sunday, March 1, 2015 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
He was born November 21, 1934 at Wana, a son of the late Artie Eddy and Vernia Cross Eddy.
Mr. Eddy was a farmer and a member of the Union Baptist Church at Crossroads.
Surviving are four brothers and their spouses, Gary & Donna Eddy of Wadetown, Leroy Eddy of Morgantown, William & Ada Eddy of Crossroads and Richard & Dottie Eddy also of Crossroads; five sisters, Betty & Don Poling of Core, Linda & Ray Kimmell of Garards Fort, PA, Mary Anderson of Fairmont, Sara Jane Cross of Pittsburgh, PA, and Laura Smith of Jeffersonville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Helen Eddy.
The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the staff of the Sundale Nursing Home for the care given to Ray during his stay there.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday with Pastor Jeff Musgrave and Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
