Ray L. Brummage, Jr., 37, of Jakes Run, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 31, 1970 at Fairmont, WV a son of Ray L. and Janice O. Eddy Brummage, who both survive.
Ray was a 1988 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School. While in high school he was active with the football team. He loved any and all sports.
He formerly worked at H & R Block and also at Tele-Tech. He was a protestant by faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother & spouse, Paul & Wilma Eddy of Jakes Run; two sisters and spouses, Debora & Kevin Mowrey of Fairmont and Florence and Tim Waxler of Jakes Run; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews, including his special buddy, his great-nephew, Joshua Waxler; he is also survived by aunts, Gladys Wade, Ruby Copeland, and Eileen Moore, and uncles Paul Eddy and Tom Eddy; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Claude & Goldie Parker Brummage, his maternal grandparents, Joseph & Florence Elizabeth Tennant Eddy; uncles Tom Brummage and Raymond Simpson, and an aunt Louella Bane.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
