RICHARD CARL WILSON

Richard Carl Wilson, 78, of Spraggs, PA died Saturday, December 4, 2021 in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born September 17, 1943 at Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Chester C. Wilson and Ethel I. Barr Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was retired from Consolidated Coal Company where he worked as a longwall maintenance foreman.

Surviving is his wife, Dottie Bragg Wilson; three sons and their spouses, Richard C. Wilson, Jr. and his wife Cynthia G. of Fairchance, PA, Rodney A. Wilson of Spraggs, and Gregory B. Wilson and his wife Shannon of Waynesburg; two daughters, Melissa J. Machesky and Michelle Stump, both of Spraggs, PA; three brothers and their spouses, Joe Wilson and his wife Sue of Waynesburg, Bill Wilson of Fairmont, and Harley “Butch” Wilson and his wife Ramona of Berryville, Arkansas; two sisters, Sue Cowell of Waynesburg and Lou Hartley of Ohio; thirteen grandchildren and their spouses; Zackery and Angela Wilson, Patrick and Heather Wilson, Kourtney Wilson, Andrew Stump, Hannah Stump, Bailey Machesky, Jackson Machesky, Herbert Guthrie III, Josephine Morgan, Tristan Morgan, Lexie Bragg, Ryan Bragg, Braden Bragg, and Mary Elizabeth Kirby; and one great-grandson, Maddox Wilson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant sister, Lydia Wilson.

All services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral services will be held with Rev. Rose Saunders officiating and interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.

The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV is in charge of arrangements.
