Richard K. Yost, 76, of Belleville, MI, formerly of the Daybrook area, died Thursday, August 4, 2004 in the St. Joesph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI.

He was born April 6, 1928 at Daybrook, a son of the late Patrick Poe and Ida Jeanette Pethtal Yost.

Mr. Yost was a retired die setter for the Ford Motor Company. While in West Virginia he attended the Daybrook United Methodist Church. He was a United States Army veteran who served during World War II.

Surviving are one son, Richard K. Yost, Jr. of Belleville, MI; one grandson, Richard Yost of Belleville, MI; one brother, Perry Yost of Richland, VA; three sisters, Betty Sutphin of Zelienople, PA, Jean Stiles of Morgantown, and Ruby Tennant of Mooresville, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Poe Yost, Donzil Yost, and Robert "Bozo" Yost.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Rev. John Coffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery at Daybrook.
