ROBERT “BOB” KENNEDY

Remembering Robert “Bob” Earl Kennedy.  Bob was a beloved father, family member, and friend, and departed this earth on December 12, 2025 at the age of 62.

He was born September 28, 1963, and throughout his life was known for his strength, resilience, and the quiet ways he showed his love.  To those who knew him best, he was a steady, dependable, and just a great man—someone whose presence left a lasting impression on every single person he met.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Kennedy; two children, Danial Kennedy (Cynthia) and Annie Kennedy (Wyatt); two grandchildren, Brady and Madison, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews, and too many to list adopted children, all of whom he loved immensely; and all of his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Guy Kennedy and Jean Kennedy, as well as maternal and paternal grandparents, his father-in-law Billy Joe Eddy and his loving wife Janet Eddy.

Bob found meaning in his tinker hobbies of fixing chainsaws or weed eaters and working on trucks and cars for many years.  He strongly valued his family, hard work ethic, and strong yapping skills to anyone—and those values will live on forever in every person he loved.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00AM with Jason Tennant officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brewer Cemetery.

He will be remembered for the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the mark he left on all who knew him.  Though he is no longer with us, his memory is forever embedded into our hearts for us to share for him.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to help with the funeral expenses to:  Owen-Neely Funeral Home, PO Box 2, Blacksville, WV   26521.
