Robert L. "Skip" Copeland, Jr., 55, of Brave, PA died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at his residence.
He was born March 17, 1954 at Waynesburg, PA, a son of Robert L. Copeland of Brave, PA and the late Betta Jane Cummins Copeland.
Skip was a retired pipefitter and was a member of the Pipefitters Local #798 out of Tulsa, OK. He was a former Monongalia County School bus driver.
Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Carissa Copeland of Morgantown, Melissa Wilson and her husband Sam of Morgantown, and Angela Shillito and her husband Mark of Obrien, Florida; two brothers, Randy Copeland of Mt. Morris, PA and Ronald Copeland of Morgantown; two sisters, Nancy Eddy of Cassville and Mona Fears of Shelbyville, TN; and four grandchildren, Trista Pritchard, Jaden Wilson, Marcus Shillito and Christopher Shillito.
At the request of the deceased his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Jakes Run Assembly of God with the Pastor Rob Bennett officiating.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
