Robert Lantz Cole, 71, of Wadestown, WV died Friday, September 19, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born August 1, 1943 at Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late William O. Cole, Jr. and Bernice Lantz Cole.
Bob was a retired coal miner having worked for Consolidation Coal Company Blacksville #2 Mine at Wana.
Mr. Cole was a faithful member of the Noah's Ark Assembly of God Church at Fairview.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Pennington Cole; one son & daughter-in-law, Robert Lynnlee Cole and with Heather of Blacksville; two daughters and their spouses, Lori and Mark Boyce of Grafton and Misty and Randy Hines of Fairmont; two step-daughters and their spouses, Deborah and Daren Conaway of Blacksville and Sharon and Gary Deal of Grove City, OH; thirteen grandchildren, Mikaila Villers, Miya Cole, Randy Hines, Tre Hines, Lakiesha Hines, Tyrus Cole, Robert Cole, Jr, Darek Conaway, Dylan Conaway, Garrett Deal and Gannon Deal, Nate Strickler, and Zane Rose; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Cole, who died as an infant.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Noah's Ark Assembly of God at Fairview with the Pastor Dallas Stuzen officiating.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
