Robert “Rob” C. Moore, 38, of Fairmont went home to be with our Lord on September 18, 2015 after a very courageous battle with cancer.
He was born October 23, 1976, the son of Robert G. Moore of Wadestown and Sandra J. Moore of Carolina.
Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Olive Ice and Robert and Marguerite Moore, and cousins Aaron “Ty” Moore, Jeremy Ice, and Guy Ice, Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Sandy; father, Bob and stepmother Bonnie. Also surviving is his beloved sister, Cindy Moore; an aunt, Nancy Wilson and her family; an uncle and aunt, Jim and Sharon Moore and their family; and a cousin, Irene Ice and her family. Rob also leave behind a multitude of wonderful friends and neighbors.
Rob was employed by Time Warner Cable Company. He previously worked as assistant manager at the Elkins and Fairmont Walmarts. He had also worked at Smokehouse BBQ and US Machine.
He was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School, class of 1994. He also served with the 201st WV National Guard from 2007-2011.
Rob had a strong faith in God, with whom he got his strength to fight this battle.
In following Rob’s wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice organization of your choice.
