Ronald (Flitch) Shriver, 77 of Daybrook passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his residence.
He was born May 1, 1936, the son of the late Clifford and Hattie Moore Shriver.
Mr. Shriver served two years in the United States Army stationed in Fort Knox, KY.
He was employed by Forest Construction Company for 32 years and was a member of District #31, UMWA, local union 1697.
Flitch loved his shot guns and shooting matches. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Daybrook Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Mary Jane Brewer Shriver; a daughter Cheryl and husband Rich McCarty of Wadestown; a son Mark and wife Sherry Shriver of Daybrook; four grandchildren, Lacey, Bethany, & Tyler McCarty, and Tony Shriver; and four great-grandchildren, Auric, Cherokee-Rose, and Xander Shriver,and Paige Harker.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Alberta Wise, and a brother Bennie Shriver.
Friends may call at the Daybrook Church of Christ in Daybrook from 2-4 & 6-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the church at 11:00 AM Wednesday with Evangelist Robert Barcroft and Evangelist Aaron Snider officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
