Rudolph L. Benevento, 88, of Littleton, WVdied Tuesday, November 19, 2002 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born July 10, 1914 at Donora, PA a son of the late Giuseppe Benevento and Emma Murphy Benevento.
Mr. Benevento was a retired union carpenter and a member of the United Brotherhood of Jointers & Carpenters Local #626 of Delaware, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #337 of Port Gibson, MS, a member of the Washington Lodge #3 AF & AM, Port Gibson, MS, a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 of Hundred, and a Catholic by faith.He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Stellini Benevento; two sons, Adolph Benevento of Egg Harbor, NJ and Larry Benevento of Allentown, PA; four daughters, Florence Wagner of Buffalo, NY, Jean Klingenberg of Egg Harbor, NJ, Julie Shutterly of Belle Vernon, PA and Marletta Salzman of Clearwater, Florida; two brothers, Henry Benevento of Pittsburgh, PA and Art Benevento of Finleyville, PA; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Esther Santoro, who was very important in his life as she was the true mother who raised him, his first wife, Jean Benevento, and a brother Andy Benevento.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Saturday.Interment will follow in the Anderson-Bethel Cemetery near Littleton where masonic graveside rites will be conducted.
