Ruth B. Wamsley, 80, of Hundred, WV died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Genesis New Martinsville Nursing Facility.
She was born March 20, 1937 at Brock Ridge, Wetzel County, a daughter of the late Thomas Ray Cecil, Sr. and Ora Arminta Palmer Cecil.
Mrs. Wamsley was a homemaker and a member of Tops #202 Burton.
She was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Surviving is her lifelong companion, Harley D. Barr; one son, Kermit Wamsley, Jr. and his wife Fran of Ravena, NY;three daughters and their spouses, Cynthia Parson & John of Hundred, Crystal Huggins & Tom of Wileyville and Carmen Grim & Bruce of Pine Grove; two sisters, Helen Wilson of Wileyville and Pauline Campbell Strutz of Fairview; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Wamsley, Sr. who died in 1963; four brothers, William Cecil, Frank Cecil, Thomas Cecil Jr., and Pemperton Cecil; and two sisters, Gaynell Holt and Lucy Phillips.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville.
