Ruth I. Hunt Ice, 87, of Burton, WV died Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at her residence.
She was born January 5, 1914 at Burton, WV a daughter of the late Earnest and Georgia Moss Hunt.She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church of Burton, the Mission Society and the Burton Homemakers Club.
She graduated from Hundred High School, West Liberty State College and Fairmont State College.She received a Masters Degree from West Virginia University and belonged to a teachers sorority.She taught for forty five years in Wetzel and Marshall County Schools.
Surviving are two sisters and spouses, Agnes and Chester Cline of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Margaret and Warren Martens of Burton;two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hunt of Burton and Lorraine Hunt of Canton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira G. Ice; and four brothers, Thomas, Samuel, Joseph and George L. Hunt.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 PM Sunday and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Monday with the Pastor Linda Roberts officiating.Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.
