Ruth V. Moore, 89, of Clearwater, Florida and formerly of Hundred, WV died June 15, 2008. She had spent the last 30 years in Palm Harbor, Florida.

She was born January 22, 1919 at Mannington, WV a daughter of the late Albert G. Heck and Bertha Vaughn Heck.

Prior to her marriage to Robert Moore in 1944 she worked for the B & O Railroad. She was one of the first EMT's for the United Emergency Unit in Hundred. In 1978 she and a small group of people started what is now the Palm Harbor Library. She was honored with 26 years of faithful service in 2003. She loved taking pictures, growing flowers, bowling, and visiting her children.

Surviving are six sons and their spouses, Robert and Diane Moore, Lynn and Susie Moore, Randy and Sherry Moore, John and Kathy Moore, James and Davorah Moore, Billie and Nancy Moore, and one daughter, Ruth Ann Hardesty; two sisters, Rena Heck and Anna Armstrong; one brother, Roy Heck; twenty-one grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moore, on April 7, 1975; two brothers Richard and Clyde Heck; and a granddaughter Lynnette.

Friends may call at theTennant Funeral Home in Hundred, from 6 - 8 PM, Friday June 20, 2008. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM, Saturday June 21, 2008, with Quint Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery in Wadestown, WV.
