Sandra Kay Johnson, 59, of New Freeport, PA died Friday, June 2, 2006 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was one day short of her 60th birthday.

She was born June 3, 1946 at Littleton, WV a daughter of the late Isaac Gump and Nona Fordyce Gump

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She worked with her husband in his lawn and cemetery mowing business. She was a protestant by faith.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph Johnson; one son, Glenn Johnson of New Freeport; three daughters, Karen Lavigne and Kelly Johnson, both of New Freeport; and Brenda Kay Johnson of Cameron; two brothers, Burl Gump of Hundred and Fred Gump of New Freeport; two sisters, Norma June Stevens of Mannington and Meryle Ester Gump, a resident in the New Martinsville Health Care Center; one half-sister, Margaret Miller of Littleton; and seven grandchildren, Kimberly Lavigne, Dorothy Lavigne, Patrick Lavigne, Boyd Lavigne, Jr, Karen Kay Johnson, Heather Cain, and Jennifer Cain.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Lenore Mae Gump, Faye Gump, Audrey Jean Gump, and Virginia Hibbs; a half-sister, Bessie Jobes; and four brothers, Homer, Walter, George and James Gump.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Garrison, PA.
