SANDRA L. PORTER
Sandra L. Porter, 73, of Rivesville, WV died Monday, November 22, 2021 at her residence.
She was born August 13, 1948 at Blacksville, WV, a daughter of the late Jesse David Howard and Lillian Kuhn Howard.
Mrs. Porter worked as a caretaker of the elderly. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Wana.
Surviving is one son and his wife, Robert James Porter and his wife Stephanie of Franklinton, NC; two daughters, Tina Elizabeth Higgins and her husband Tim and Angela Dawn Santos and her husband Eric, all of Rivesville; one brother, Donald Howard of Mannington; nine grandchildren, Riley Porter, PVT US Army, Mackenzie Porter, Teagan Porter, Taylor Santos, Meranda Santos, Jessica Helgeson, Brittany Higgins, Aubrey Higgins, and Megan Higgins; and four great-grandchildren, Blakelynn Helgeson, Finley Helgeson, Nova Christina Woods, and Addison Joy McCrone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin James Porter who died October 17, 1987; one daughter, Rachael Dale; and one brother, David Howard.
Friends may call at the Grace Fellowship Church in Wana, WV from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM service hour on Saturday, November 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Garrett Howard and Pastor Steve Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV is in charge of arrangements.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was always a happy go lucky person that had a personality like no other. Try to stay strong but it will be rough for awhile. Just remember she’s not suffering anymore.
