Sarah Irene Shriver Anderson, 95, of Waynesburg, PA died Monday, December 20, 2010 in the Evergreen Assisted Living Center in Waynesburg, PA.
She was born May 29, 1915 at Daybrook, WV, a daughter of the late James B. Tennant and Leota D. McCord Tennant.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a cook most of her lifetime.
She was a member of the Waynesburg Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Shriver of Phoenix, AZ and Nina Mahle of Waynesburg; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Shriver of Blacksville; two step-sons, Charles and Alan Anderson, and two step-daughters, Linda Gonzales and Kristin Long, all of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Worlie A. Shriver, her second husband, Robert E. Anderson; one son, Arnold K. (Pete) Shriver; one grandson, Randy Sexton; three sisters, Lula Tennant, Irma Moore, and Mary Pyles; and two brothers, Dice Tennant and James Burl Tennant.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 6-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Thursday with the Evangelist Mike Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
